Synopsis
En 1933 dans une petite ville du midwest, Charley et sa femme Nettie Appleby sont assis sous leur porche évoquant la situation difficile de la boutique de Charley quand une étoile filante traverse le ciel. Le couple et leur fils Willie font chacun un vœux. Le lendemain Charley a un accident de voiture avec un camion, reprend conscience et découvre un ange.
