Synopsis
Portrait impressionniste d’un grand acteur : moments intimes, extraits de quelques-uns de ses 250 films et bouleversante interprétation personnelle de chants folkloriques américains. Exploration des pensées profondes de l’acteur sur sa vie ainsi que sur son talent inexploité de musicien, le film montre aussi des scènes tournées sur le vif avec David Lynch, Wim Wenders, Sam Shepard, Kris Kristofferson et Debbie Harry. Un collage qui fait apparaître l’âme fragile de l’acteur.
