Synopsis
Un jeune avocat, Adam Hall, fervent opposant à la peine de mort, s'apprête à plaider le dossier le plus épineux et le plus dramatique de sa carrière : celui de son grand-père, Sam Cayhall, le plus vieux condamné à mort des États-Unis, qui doit être exécute d'ici vingt-huit jours pour un attentat à la bombe ayant entraîné la mort de deux enfants en 1967.
