Synopsis
Maurice Flitcroft est un grand rêveur et un éternel optimiste. En 1976, il parvient à s'inscrire au British Open Golf Championship en se qualifiant. Lors du tournoi, il réalise le pire parcours de l'histoire de l'Open. Sa défaite plaît pourtant au public qui fait de lui un héros populaire.
