Synopsis
1914, la Première Guerre mondiale vient d'éclater, Harry Colebourn, un jeune vétérinaire britannique est enrôlé dans le corps expéditionnaire canadien qui part pour l'Europe. Sur le chemin partant de Winnipeg jusqu'à Val Cartier, le train fait un escale à White River, juste assez longtemps pour que le jeune homme achète un ourson orphelin, qu'il prénomme Winnie en hommage à sa ville natale. L'ourson deviendra alors la mascotte des soldats.
